From December 2011 to April 2012 I will be working for the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) on Signy Island in the South Orkney Islands, Antarctica, on the penguin and seal long-term monitoring programme.
From August 2008 to March 2011 I worked on the sub-Antarctic island of Bird Island (part of South Georgia), in the South Atlantic, as Zoological Field Assistant- on the penguin and giant petrel long-term monitoring programme and assisting with seal and albatross work.

Well well, you can't stay away! Antarctica is like that; I have been once & would love to go again, whenever & however.
Good on you, & we look forward to reading about it here!
All best wishes, Mark
